A Brief History Of ADT
The American District Telegraph (ADT) Company was established in 1874 with the installation of telegraphic call boxes in the homes or offices of subscribers.
The call box brought a messenger to the subscriber's premises to collect a message to be sent by telegraph, but messengers often performed other errands too. This service was refined and ADT Fire & Security was born, which lead to the development of ADT alarm systems.
Since then, research and development, training, a professional approach to business and ongoing technological developments, have established ADT Fire & Security as the world's number one provider of Electronic Security Protection. Through a comprehensive network of Alarm Receiving Centres, ADT monitors corporate and private systems worldwide.
